The main architectural concept behind Mareal was to create a light form that integrated seamlessly to it’s coastal context through the use of soft corners, lush vertically integrated gardens and an earthy color palette of organic materials such as limestone, wood and natural plasters.
The narrow plot presented some interesting challenges. To maximize the views, airflow and quality for most of the units, an angled floor plan split between two buildings was implemented. Internal garden spaces glue the ground floor together in one continuous tropical pad for circulation and amenities.
